Practice in Daun

It`s getting hot in here! Three rounds of practice are done at the EOS season finale, and we are looking forward to the upcoming 3 rounds of qualifying which are all scheduled for this afternoon until late evening. Being in the top heat can be a big advantage for racers in qualifying, as the pace is always the best in these heats.

2WD Modified Buggy

Kaerup tops 2WD practice at EOS season finale in Daun

In the fastest class of the day, 2WD Modified Buggy, it was Team Associated`s Marcus Kaerup who nailed the fastest two consecutive laps onto the EOS carpet here in Daun. Kearup had a great run in the last round of practice with his B6.4 Buggy. Behind Kearup, Schumacher`s new factrory driver Lee Martin posted the second fastest time with Micha Widmaier (Swork`z) in third place.
All drivers had been trying a lot of different lines and approaches to the jump sections, and almost everybody went fastest in the third and last round of practice. Behind Kearup, Martin, and Widmaier, the Schumacher duo of Michal Orlowski and Daniel Kobbevik completed the top 5.
Reigning european champion Tommy Hall is sitting in sixth so far for Team Associated, while Jörn Neumann is in eight place after returning to Swork`z at the beginning of 2023. Broc Champlin (Schumacher) who made it to the EOS all the way from the United States of America is ranked 9th overall, and British driver Paul Crompton completed the top 10 in practice. We are expecting a very intense and close qualifying with the TQ getting already decided on late Friday afternoon.
