2WD Modified Buggy
Orlowski converts pole position into close A1 victory
Top qualifier Michal Orlowski had a good start and saw Daniel Kobbevik in his rear -view mirror for the entire race. Both Schumacher drivers did a wonderful job on the difficult track here in Daun and left no doubt that they are the two hottest contenders for the overall win here this weekend. Elias Johansson (started third) made a costly mistake early in the race and lost many positions.

Tommy Hall moved up to third spot and it looked like he could close the gap to Orlowski and Kobbevik a bit until Hall had a bad landing on the last jump before the straight in lap 6.

Tommy Hall lost his position to Marcus Kaerup who just rolled his buggy over in lap 9 of the race handing third place over to a great driving Bartosz Zalewski.

Out front, the Schumacher boys had everything under control und Kobbevik was pushing really hard with the hopes for his teammate making a small mistake – which he didn`t do. Orlowski won A1 after a clinic drive with his Schumacher Cougar LD3 buggy 0,4 seconds ahead of Daniel Kobbevik (both on used tires), Bartosz Zalewski (Xray), Joona Haatanen (Associated), and Tommy Hall (Associated).

2WD Stock Buggy
Hofman with a perfect drive in A1
Daniel Hofman was the dominant driver during 2WD Stock Buggy A1 in Daun. He posted the fastest lap of the race (18.110) and won the first final with a huuuuuge gap of almost 8 seconds ahead of Senne Pauwels, Sören Sparbier, Frederik Hovgaard, Thomas Rössler, and Sascha Frühwirth.

Daniel Hofman can already seal the overall victory in A2, he just needs to repeat his performance from A1 and nobody will be able to challenge him.
