2WD Modified Buggy

Clean run for Orlowski to win Q1 from Kaerup, Hall, Boda, and Landen

Schumacher`s superstar Michal Orlowski was only seeded in sixth place after practice. In the first round of qualifying, he was putting together the “cleanest” run of all top guys while almost everybody made smaller or bigger mistakes on track. Orlowski moved his way up to the top in the middle of the run after leader Clement Boda (Team Associated) made a costly mistake on one of the doubles in the infield section. The French Team Associated driver posted the hot lap of the race (19.665) but dropped down to P4 of the top heat after loosing 3 seconds in that crash.

His Associated teammate and top seed Marcus Kaerup took second place for the round when he finished 5 tenths behind Orlowski`s Schumacher buggy. Team Associated`s Tommy Hall from the UK had a great run to third overall and Alexander Landen (also Associated) was fourth quickest with his time coming out of the super strong b-heat. It seems that a clean run is the key to success here in Daun as the track is really challenging the drivers throughout all groups. Q2 is up next and there are many drivers able to win it!

2WD Stock Buggy

Stock Buggy Q1 goes to Culmsee, Bidovsky second, Peuziat third

The first round of 2WD Stock Buggy qualifying saw many drivers in the lead during the five-minute run of the top heat. Top seed Senne Pauwels got it wrong in the opening lap of the heat when he jumped to the outside of the track before the step-up on the left side of the track. Romain Lepape was leading the next lap before Ales Bidovsky moved to the top of the board.

Bidovsky then had a nice battle for the lead with Pelle Culmsee from Denmark. They both had a great run with the better ending for Culmsee who was 0.5 ahead when they crossed the finish line. Senne Pauwels was trying to recover from his early mistake but another crash in lap 11 leading him to retire his car – bad luck for Senne who posted the fastest lap of the heat (21.021).

Stock Truck

Bremstaller takes first round of Stock Truck qualifying

Top seed Pawel Trella was in the lead for the first laps until he rolled his truck onto the roof. Christian Wukonig took over the lead but had a slightly slower pace that third place starter Patrick Bremstaller with his Sworkz truck. When Bremstaller took over the lead after two minutes he had everything under control and won Q1 with a gap of three seconds over Wukonig and Trella. Mike Hansen from Denmark and Vinnie Vanelderen from Belgium completed the top 5.
