2WD Q1 & Q2 Report, EOS Hann. Münden 2023

2WD Modified Buggy

Q1– Michal Orlowski (fastest lap of the race) was leading the top heat of 2WD Modified Buggy qualifying for the first 15 laps ahead of David Ronnefalk, Daniel Kobbevik, Davide Ongaro, and Tommy Hall. In the penultimate lap of the race, Orlowski got the landing after the second double jump wrong and rolled his Schumacher Buggy onto the roof. He lost valuable time and Xray`s David Ronnefalk was able to capitalise the most as he took over the lead and won the race ahead of Schumacher`s Daniel Kobbevik, and Michal Orlowski. Tommy Hall and Lee Martin completed the top 5 in Q1.

Q2- The second round of qualifying saw Q1 winner David Ronnefalk on top for the first two laps before Michal Orlowski popped up on top of the board. The Schumacher driver was flying around the track and took over the lead. There was one critical moment for him when Ronnefalk tapped the board coming onto the main straight. Orlowski could not go by and both cars touched. Michal lost 2 seconds of time and it was Davide Ongaro who was leading for 2-3 laps afterwards. But Orlowski never gave up and worked his way through the field again. In the end, he won the heat by 3,2 seconds ahead of his teammate Daniel Kobbevik. A very fast Lee Martin made it a Schumacher 1-2-3 in Q2 and Orlowski`s time was a tenth faster compared to Ronnefalk` s winning time from Q1.
