Double win for Schumacher boys Orlowski and Kobbevik, Xray`s Coelho joins them on the podium!

A1- The first A-Main was chapter one of the Michal Orlowski show. His Schumacher car looked outstanding on track, and he was able to takt the win from wire to wire. Behind Orlowski, Schumacher`s Daniel Kobbevik was defending his second spot like a lion against the Xray of David Ronnefalk who was on new tires. At the halfway mark of the run, Ronnefalk found his way by Kobbevik and posted the hot lap of the race, but Orlowski was already “checked out gone” in this one. A1 saw Orlowski, Ronnefalk, Kobbevik, Coelho, and a strong driving Jessica Palsson in the top 5.

A2- After the start of A2, Daniel Kobbevik lost his second spot in the first lap to David Ronnefalk and Bruno Coehlo. Ronnefalk quickly let Coehlo by (who had the better tires) to let him start hunting down race leader Orlowski. But as Orlowski had already a huge gap, Coehlo was not able to close it anymore. Michal Orlowski was driving amazing all weekend and the crowd spent him a huge applause as he took the overall win after 5 minutes.

A3- In the B-Main, which took place directly before the last A, there was a car with a broken shock and the shock oil was on the racing line in a few corners. This was clearly visible after the start of A3 as Kobbevik (and others) went a little sideways in the last corner before the main straight. Kobbevik lost his position and also collected Ronnefalk` s car without any purpose. It was just bad luck and Bruno Coehlo was in the lead starting from third place.
Kobbevik managed to close the gap to Coehlo quickly again, as he had a set of fresh tires remaining for A3. Kobbevik made a lot of pressure on Coehlo, and as the Portuguese driver flipped his car after an imperfect landing, it was Kobbevik out front again. The Schumacher driver from Norway got everything together and took the win in A3 to secure second on the overall podium. A great result for the Schumacher team and their new Cougar LD3 buggy. Bruno Coehlo and David Ronnefalk took third and fourth place with their “all new” Xray XB2`24 cars showing a great performance too. Lee Martin brought home another top 5 result for Schumacher Racing.

2WD Stock Buggy

Winner Nielsen and Pauwels tied on points after A3, Heitzer finishes third overall

A1- It was not a good start into the triple finals for TQ Kim Nielsen. He lost some positions during the race and finished only sixth. Another driver who was suffering from a lap 1 incident was second place starter Senne Pauwels. He could recover to P4 and had the fastest lap to his favour, but he also had not the start into the day which he had hoped for. Out front it was Benedikt Heitzer who took advantage as he drove to the win in A1 ahead of a strong driving Piotr Stankiewicz and a hard charging Sven Rudig.

A2- Kim Nielsen was untouchable in the second A-Main.He needed a good result after his horrible A1 and delivered. Nielsen was laying down a perfect run onto the EOS carpet and outpaced second place driver Senne Pauwels by 3.2 seconds. Mike Hansen finished in third place and the winner of A1, Benedikt Heitzer, took P4. The overall victory was wide open before we headed in A3 as Heitzer, Pauwels, Nielsen, and Stankiewicz all had a shot for the win in theory.

A3- With huge excitement, the ten drivers started into their last 2WD Stock final. Kim Nielsen and Senne Pauwels were going for it and Senne was in the lead after Kim had a short landing after the double-double section. Kim Nielsen was following race leader Pauwels but could not come close enough for a serious attack until the end of the race. Senne took the win in A3, but Kim Nielsen became the overall race winner here in Hann. Münden, tied on points with Senne. Nielsen had the faster overall runtime (from A2) to his favour which was enough to step onto the top step of the podium. Benedikt Heitzer, the winner from A1, took third place overall in a highly competitive field of drivers.

It was great fun to race on this track. When I cane here I didn`t had any expectations. I practiced a lot with my modified touring car in the last months, and it seems that it also helps me for Offroad in case of consistency. Overall I am really happy and I enjoy the whole event a lot!

First EOS, first win – Hansen victorious at the Transworld Hotel

A1- Mike Hansen took the win in A1 in which he was leading from start to finish. Hansen had a clean run and no issues with traffic as everybody was driving respectful on track on early Saturday morning. Christian Wukonig lost his second position to Marco Briers in the middle of the race and had to take third place away from A1. Esmee Briers and Jo Degeest completed the top 5. A great start into the day for TQ Mike Hansen who also turned the hot lap of the race with a 20.125!

A2- When the second final got underway, TQ Mike Hansen lost his position in lap 1 where he had a bad landing after the double-double in the infield section. Christian Wukonig took over the lead and Mike Hansen was running in second place. Hansen started to hunt Wukonig down, but the Austrian racer made no mistakes and won the second A-Main in front of Hansen, Marco and Esmee Briers, and Jo Degeest.

A3- After Wukonig and Hansen each won a final, the showdown for the overall victory was between them in A3. Mike Hansen had a perfect start from his pole position and took the win by 2.6 seconds ahead of Marco Briers and Christian Wukonig. What a great EOS debut for Mike Hansen. He raced at the Euro Offroad Series for the first time, and walks away with the big trophy – Congratulaitons Mike Hansen!

After I did well with my Offroad cars in Denmark, we decided to come to the EOS for the first time as it is “only” a five hours drive away from home. Winning the Stock Truck class iy beyond all expectations as my only goal was to make the A-Main. A really cool experience and I am super happy!
