Kilic “best of the rest” as nobody could challenge Orlowski in A1

Top qualifier Michal Orlowski took full advantage of his pole position. The Schumacher factory driver executed a perfect run with his Elceram and Cayote powered buggy and left no doubt that he is the man to beat on finals day. Orlowski immediately pulled a gap to second place starter David Ronnefalk, Bartosz Zalewski, and Burak Kilic. Ronnefalk was running in second before he clipped the pipe in lap 7 after the small centre-double causing his car to flip!

Zalewski and Kilic went by and battled for that second spot in the following laps of the race. Kilic was able to take over second spot in lap 10 of the race and was able to bring it home some 5 seconds behind race winner Orlowski – a great race from Kilic with his LRP powered buggy. Schumacher`s Daniel Kobbevik made it from seventh on the grid up to third place while Marcus Kaerup (Associated) and Bartosz Zalewski (Xray) rounded out the top 5. It looked like an easy win for Orlowski – can he repeat it in A2?

I tried to immediateley pull a gap which I was able to do after the start. As there was some oil on the track in the morning (due to the many upside-down mounted shocks), we changed our tire strategy which luckily payed off. The car felt good and now it is all about me to seal the victory in the next one!
-Michal Orlowski (PL) Schumacher, Elceram, Cayote

My start was good and I was waiting behind Ronnefalk and Zalewski to see what would happen. When David (Ronnefalk) rolled it over, me and Zalewski (luckily) got around him. Then I was able to stay close to Zalewski and when he also made a mistake I was running in second. Orlowski was too far away at this stage of the race so I could not come any closer. But it was a good run to second in A1 thanks to my smooth and powerful working LRP electronics.

Hofman cruises to dominant A1 victory

The first lap of A1 in our 4WD Stock Buggy class saw TQ Daniel Hofman having a good start. Second placed Ales Bidovsky got the landing wrong after the first centre-double and dropped down to fourth place. While Hofmann was pulling away, it was a crash festival behind him as almost everybody made mistakes in the first laps.

Hofman had a 5 second lead already after 6 laps and was controlling his race on track. Aaron Waitz moved up to second spot, followed by Haemers, Matas, and Rademacher. Ales Bidovsky had to retire his car after eight laps and needs to fight back in A2 if he still will have a chance for the overall win at the EOS in Daun. Daniel Hofman executed a perfect run and took a well-deserved win away from the first final.

Neumann holds off Widmaier to win thrilling first A-Main

Jörn Neumann brought the field around the first lap, followed by Micha Widmaier. Behind them it was Burak Kilic who made a great move on Max Götzl at the end of the straightway moving up to third place. Widmaier was all over Neumann in the first laps of the race and it was great to watch the two Sworkz drivers going for it!

The leaders already had a gap of 6 seconds over the rest of the field at the 2:30 minute mark. It looked as Widmaier`s truck had a slightly better pace, but Neumann was defending like a lion. Widmaier touched Neumann in lap 10 after the big centre-double, waited for his car to get turned around by the marshal, and started to hunt him down again. Neumann was able to pull a small gap over Widmaier in the last minute to take the win from Widmaier, Kilic, Götzl, and Bremstaller!
