2WD Practice Report, EOS Daun 2026

The EOS is back and 2026 opens up with a big bang in Daun. With almost 500 entries, the race is the biggest ever EOS event. Thursday and Friday is for the 2WD buggy classes and three rounds of practice had been on the schedule in the morning, followed by three complete rounds of qualifying.

2WD Modified Buggy

Kaerup leads Team Associated 1-2-3

Reigning IFMAR world champion Marcus Kaerup was the fastest driver in practice. He was one tenth faster (over 2 consecutive laps) than his Team Associated team mates Joona Haatanen, and Clement Boda. The Schumacher duo of Michal Orlowski and Daniel Kobbevik secured fourth and fifth place and had a very similar 2-lap pace.

Czech ace Dominik Vlasek finished practice on a strong sixth place and was followed by Bartosz Zalewski (Xray), Ben Smith (Schumacher), Elias Johansson (Schumacher), and Alexander Landen (Team Associated) rounding out the top 10.

Qualifying is up next and things are looking to get spicy now….

2WD Stock Buggy

Hofmann the early leader in 2WD Stock Buggy

In the 13.5 Stock Buggy class we saw Daniel Hofman from the Czech Republic doing very well. He was fastest after three rounds of practice and will lead the group into qualifying from the sweet spot on the grid. Hofman was followed by Pauwels, Frühwirth, Trella, and Sparbier.
